this is a petition to remake final fantasy 7, i seriously hope you will sign it and help us convince them to remake it, also please remember to bump this, because im sure im gonna forget about it after posting it on all the forums i visit. In addition pass this link along to anyone you know who would sign this too, at last check we had nearly 35000 signatures

ignoring all that, you realize that at least 80% of the people who sign this petition are also completely willing to buy the game if it got remade because it has been widely considered as one of the best games ever, and for that matter is the best final fantasy game released, besides, its only a matter of time before they remake it, they went on a spree and stopped at 6. besides, this game sold 4 million copies in JAPAN ALONE and sold 5.8 million in north america. they would have absolutely no problems with making up the money they spend on the game

Do you think they don't know this? Anyways, remaking an NES game to look like an SNES game can be done by a guy in a month, in his spare time. Completely redoing a PS1 game, and making it look like a PS3 title would take much, much more effort.

Edit: I'm not saying it wouldn't be massively profitable, but there is more to it than you think.

given all that, they still know that FF7 was considered the best FF they ever made, as shown by the sequels and movie, and should realize that they will make money out of it, besides, the PS3 hasnt been selling lately and many of us would get one just for that game. in addition, this petition is not expected to change their minds, its meant to show to them exactly how many people want to see it remade

EDIT:i know more about the work that would be involved in it, but my point stays the same, they have no reason not to remake it because of how profitable it would be

well, i don't associate with many of the people myself, i still haven't actually played through the entire game, since this is my first time, i noticed that the graphics feel really really out of date and still is a great game, besides, im doing this out of the kindness of my heart (must...suppress...laughter) and do not in anyway expect a thank you, all i ask is for this to be bumped from time to time once i've forgotten it exists

As cool as a remake would be, am I the only one that thinks that would ruin the game? Unless all they did was recreate the graphics...and somehow, I don't see that happening.

based on the last remakes square enix did, i would expect them to re-do the graphics, touch up a bit on minor mistakes they may find, give it voice acting, and add more content for after you've beaten the game, i.e. the "final" dungeon with the most powerful boss and the best weapons and armor for every character

A final fantasy 7 petition that has been sitting around the net for years. Oh joy, how that brings back memories. Final Fantasy 7 petitions don't do much but possibly give people reason to send me useless emails and whatnot. Amazingly, a direct petition is the only way, if SquareEnix decides to remake FF7, let them, if not oh well. I have seen the petitions of FF7 being remade. Sorry to say though, it wont likely happen for a long time.
