I asked about this before but the general agreement was $20.00 was too low for anything truly reliable, so this time I have $30.00 USD to spend. bluetongue.gif

Anyway: Windows XP.

I have a Logitech Quickcam Messenger. Nothing much to say about it besides that it works. 640x480, built-in microphone (which I haven't tested), USB.

Target had it in mid-April for $29.99.
Those who will remember, will speak fondly of the warm morning breeze.

You can build a hologram projector using a webcam. TheSmile.gif I should finish building mine someday soon.

Yeah, I need to get myself two regular hand mirrors first and a beam splitter. A beam splitter is the only part I need to special order, but its not expensive, only like twenty dollars or so, maybe less. All it needs to do is split light at right angles for a laser at about 630 nanometers. Which is a very common range.

But yeah, it can be done quite simply. I am trying to make one that will project a full scale scene of space onto my ceiling at night.

For a webcam that you will not be taking video or pictures with (saved recording of) I would go for the cheapist one since you do not really need the quality aspect.

^^PUT THIS IN YOUR SIG ASAP!

Visit Bespetna.com you will find a lot of cool things waiting for you there
