Lately DoA has been rather inactive, with most people not signing in for 5+ days. GW is a pretty difficult game to recruit in, because most people are already in guilds. One thing we can obviously do is target clan sections of GW community sites, but I thought of something else more interesting. There's one thing you don't see very often in GW, and that is events. It's not the ideal game to host events in either, because there isn't much you can do. However, nothing has stopped us before from being crazy, so we might as well give it a try.

My thought is that we get as many guildies online as possible to party around in popular outposts. A dance performance would probably be noticeable, and we could of course play cape tag as well. bluetongue.gif Things like this would attract players' attention, because like I said, you don't see things like this too often.

However, my biggest concern is that would we have enough players to make an impact? We may need to recruit a little more to make it possible. And also find a time where there'd be prime activity, for us and GW.

This would be good, but, as you said, after we build up a little bluetongue.gif, or people actually show up once in a while bluetongue.gif (kidding, mostly, it does get lonely though being one of one, or maybe two).

I like Rylkan's idea for this, which is help out newbies. When you can find them. Help with a short mission whenever you log on, 'adopt' a newbie and get to know them, something like that. If we can get more than nobody doing it (and I intend to start again. . . bad patch there for a bit >_<), and then more than one bluetongue.gif, it'll speed the process a little. It's a very slow method, though I expect retention to be higher than random spam recruiting. It'll help when Shiz stops being sick too, I'm sure.

I'll attend any events if possible.

I think it would be possible, even with the activity we have. It would just be necessary to persuade the inactive members to sign on at a certain time.

Forgive my pessimism >_<, but that's been a difficult thing to do, in my experience, hence my post. Or maybe I just suck at it.

Of course, there's no reason not to try anyway.

I feel bad now about not getting on. sad.gif I wanted to respark my own interest by taking a step back from the game for awhile. But I think I'll be getting on and trying to help more people in the near future. Probably tomorrow, in fact. bluetongue.gif
