I just disabled the chat block because it's somewhat misleading. Enough of us use IRC programs that it doesn't provide a good indication of activity. The applet is still available, and I may bring back the "advanced" chat, but I would recommend the use of an IRC program. Hey, you could have some fun with it by installing games and bots, which is much easier than some may think at first.

Just remember that quickly signing on and off to check activity in the chat isn't really ideal. If we all did it, the chat would always be dead. Another reason for using an IRC program is so you can more easily idle for a while. That way when a member signs on, someone will more likely already be there.

As a reminder, our chat is on irc.nightstar.net. Use port 6666 or 6668 instead of 6667, otherwise you'll be disconnected. We have three "official" channels, but for now consider #arbiters to be our main channel.
