Say if you're using someones picture in their photobucket folder. That person sees it's getting used a lot and then replaces that picture with goatse. or a penis. or something with the same filename. It will affect every place you've linked to that picture!

I did that to someone on RSC ages ago, except I just wrote a long, rambling message in tiny font about how much of a jerk they were for leeching my bandwidth.

I also PM'd them and told them that they were more than welcome to the image itself, so long as they were the one hosting it.
