I say we have a TF2 event on friday. Preferably starting sometime around noon (GMT -6, central US time zone).

What will we do: Wing it.
When: I just told you.
Why: It's an excuse to get a bunch of people together for TF2.

How do we know which server to go to?

Good question, son. We have a curvedspace (named Curvedspace Community)Steam group. It's public, so just join up and get in the steam chat.

(Note for kimojuno)
IRC won't work, we'd have to alt+tab out of the game just to communicate which server we're going to. With steam chat you just press shift+tab and the chat pops up.

Yes, definitely. Which is why most of the servers I've been playing on are based out of Houston or dallas, and have a ping of like... 30 on them.
That is, a ping of 30 and I'm on Wi-Fi thumb.gif

Bump

Everyone who owns TF2 on here should have a guest pass unless its been used because of the free weekend.

So if your PC can run a source game, ask someone in the steam group who has TF2 if they have one, if people turn up for this it might be good.

Anyone have any ideas of things to do?

Only thing I've come up with is

zerg scout rushing
Everyone joining and becoming snipers (but not sniping eachother)
Joining a furry server as all pyros.
Joining a 1337h4rdc0r3 server and act like we can't play

Join servers and do the rare endangered crab spy trick.
Overwhelmed as one would be, placed in my position.
Such a heavy burden now to be "The One".
Born to bear and read to all the details of our ending
To write it down for all the world to see.
