First of all, I'd like to say that global warming doesn't require belief. Similar to the laws of physics, it's a scientific fact. I don't usually even see people denying it altogether anymore; the main so-called "debate" currently is over whether humans are the cause, which has also been proven scientifically to be the case.

The best and most immediate thing that could and should be done is the US signing the Kyoto Protocol.

I'm not sure exactly what I think about global warming. I know the climates cycle every so often, but it'll take some further elaboration when time is on my side.

However, I cannot agree more that the US should sign KP. It's rather moronic that we haven't done so by now.
Overwhelmed as one would be, placed in my position.
Such a heavy burden now to be "The One".
