Can mods ban you for any reason? I just got banned for eternity on another web site because I "have significantly broke the web site rules". The thing is Ive only posted there twice, neither of which contained more than one sentence and anything even remotely interesting (or worth banning).

The e-mail I got listed the reason for my ban as "No." Thats actually what the F{unprintable}IN mod listed for what I did wrong!!!

A site can actually ban for whatever reason they so choose, even if it makes absolutely no sense. They own it and so they can do whatever they want as long as its not illegal (which, depending on where the server is located, could be anything or even nothing).

If you posted advertisements, eg links to other sites, or just emoticons (or lots of them) that could also be a reason. And, some sites don't like less then one sentence - this can, and has been, seen as SPAM.

No ads, and all the emotes are lame so I didnt use them. And the lengths of my posts were as long as everybody else. I think the guy was just on an ego trip. A new mod wanting to test out his powers.

If this is the case, then I suggest trying to contact an admin. Do not create another account. There should be a contact option.

Thats the whole e-mail cut n pasted. No links to contact anybody. As far as the banworthiness of my posts, they are SO innocent that if they actually are considered banworthy, I would never go back to such a fascist/conservative website. Its a guitar tab site, btw.

I cant. The forums are so big I cant find my posts. And since my account has been banned, I cant look up my posts. But I swear, it wasnt anything even remotely offensive. If it was, I wouldnt be making a big deal about it...

Anyways, I gonna start diggin through the site now to try and find them.
