Hi cspacezone, I jusyt bougjht a.htc g1 but need a new sd card for it but I don't know what kind of sd card I should be looking for. I need a 16gb card
Also please explain to me terms such as class, sd hc, micro sd, mini sd, sd flash

Where SD 2.0 are actually more commonly called SDHC cards. (HC standing for high capacity, I guess.) MicroSD cards are the smallest around. =P Frickin' tiny. My phone and DS use them.

So. What you're looking to buy are micro SDHC cards. =P They can get upto 16GB. =) If you don't want to pay the extra money for an SDHC card, you can get a normal microSD card (Still go up to 16GB) just the transfer speeds are a bit slower.

thanks for the info. it was actully much easier to learn about then i thought.

i found out that the g1 only goes up to an 8gb micro sd, i just bought a class 6 8gb sd card off newegg for $15

Edit: I now leard that even though on the g1s specs it says it can only.go up to 8gb sd it can really go up to 16gb.

So I cancled my 8gb sd order from newegg and I will be placing a 16gb sd order soon, I saw one for $30 so I may get that one.
