We don't offer anything because people are either in different timezones or unwilling to play..

That's not much of an excuse, you can easily make plans a month or so before.

or unwilling to play..

This returns us to inviting people. grnwink.gif

The solution? Either 1) Everyone stop playing RuneScape this very second or 2) The members who are active involve themselves in bringing more fun and activity into the game.

Jeff.

Thats the problem. The only game that almost everyone plays is RS, but nobody likes it enough to actually join a guild/clan.

I don't deny the fact that most RS players are younger kids, and have no idea how to type or anything...but what are you going to do...that's the demographic the game appeals to, therefore that's the demographic that we appeal to... There are other older players out there, however.

And it wouldn't require everyone to play it...we had a completely functional RS based SeeD clan before, while being actively involved in other games.

It just so happens the majority of people who used to play RS...they aren't here anymore.

Your backwards thinking on the game doesn't help our situation at all, to be honest. If anyone is browsing this board that plays RS and is thinking of joining and they see that, chances are they won't join.

You can partially blame your own members for that.

Did you mean to quote delta and myself with that?

Really, most RS players wouldn't understand this site or realize it had anything to do with the game.

Every time I play I run into nice people who are mature people, forget ages altogether I always run into mature people. Who are you seeking out? Are you seeking out less mature players, or more mature players? Are you a more mature player, or a less mature player? We tend to hang out in groups that we have similar interests with, and quite frankly I run into more mature people -- both on P2P servers and F2P servers -- every time I play then less mature people.

I apologize if this sounds like an insult, I am not saying anything against you or anyone else here or otherwise. I just want to state that there are mature people who play RuneScape, and in my personal experience I run into them more then immature or less mature people.

Jeff.

The point I was going for was that because most RS players are young, the idea of a forum based guild probably wont appeal to them. And because most of the mebers who actually play RS are not active, nobody joins SeeD. nonono2.gif

Yeah, but Kimo..

You're a skiller, I'm a PKer. You tend to meet more mature players skilling, but not many people skilling would want a clan.

There's a topic about this on the Runescape Community general forum, and most people agreed with that theory.

SeeD was once home to both skillers and PKers, in fact more skillers then PKers. I remember how Ech, and others, would state that not many people in SeeD were PKers -- part of the reason a few of them joined other clans, including Ech.

Why wouldn't people who skill want a clan? Skillers joined SeeD before, so why not now? Again, I am hearing excuses. Both PKers and skillers, again moreso skillers IIRC, joined SeeD -- why? Activity. Activity causes growth, which of course attracts more people. People need to see activity, or what's the point?

Maybe because it doesn't? Show me where our RS events are... Show me where our active RS players are...

It's not their fault SeeD: RS is suffering a lack of activity and enthusiasm.

As it stands, I see no reason for any RS player to join this site. Especially with the negative comments towards the game.

"Hey guys, I play RS here is my character, I just joined." Response: "RS sucks."

Not to mention we offer NOTHING they can't find other places. The people (and their personalities) and activity of the past is what separated us from other clans.

Look at SeeD now...there's such a lack of activity, all these divisions were cast into one. I say break them back out on a game by game basis, create forums for those specific games, and revamp everyone individually.

I agree completely with Kimo's last post.

If you were here 4-5 years ago, you'd understand it better. (Not directed at anyone.)

I'd like a nice big image on the front page telling everyone we support Runescape.

And I have no IRL friends to tell. _sure.gif
