Srs topic. srs dscussn.
Srsly.

I was sifting through art/wallpapers. Normally, I like art that makes me think, and provokes emotion and response. And I came across this. I wonder...

What would you do if faced with the situation the gentleman in the picture is faced with?

Would you peacefully accept it?
Would you run?
Would you try to wake up?

Please, tell me.
Overwhelmed as one would be, placed in my position.
Such a heavy burden now to be "The One".
Born to bear and read to all the details of our ending
To write it down for all the world to see.

I'd die laughing at the irony of me finally finding the loch ness monster at the same time the world is blown to hell.

I did laugh, I'll admit.

Here's what I mean, for example. This gentleman in this bench is watching a nuclear bomb explode in a nearby city. With such a blast radius at the bombs disposal, the man surely knows he will either die in the forthcoming blast, or he is aware that he just saw thousands of lives extinguished when the blast struck.

I try to delve in immersion. When I read, when I watch movies, when I play video games (ESPECIALLY when I play video games), I always do my best to remove all aspects of life around me and enter whatever scene I'm reading or watching. It means more to me that way. I did that to this picture, and I was truly heartbroken.

Perhaps I was saddened by his predicament. For if the blast was strong enough, could he outrun it? Would he even try to outrun it? Would he peacefully accept whatever was about to happen?

Well, assuming the blast didn't blind me, let alone kill me, I think I'd have the instinct to survive. I would find as much leather and gasoline as I could get my hands on. I'd try and find supplies of fresh water, renewable food sources, weapons, and companions. Also, in a post-apocalypse world, there is something to be said for hording eyeglasses. Those will be in demand. Also, alcohol. People will give you their glasses for alcohol.

Considering how old he is, I'd think he'd just accept it. It's a rather painless way to die, as if you're close enough to the blast you're literally vaporized.

It depends if Im old like the guy in the pic or not. If Im young, and I walked or skate(board)ed to the park, Id probablly just sit n wait for the end. Thats assuming the initial blast doesnt get me and I cant outrun the radiation... But if I drove to the park, I would jump in my car and high-tail-it to my Grandpa's cabin up north.

Hes a huge conspiracy theorist(he thinks Hitler is alive)/survivalist, so he keeps lots of water and food at his cabin in the middle of nowhere Michigan. Plus he keeps a ton of guns up there. thumb.gif That's what is going to keep us alive, especially if its a biological attack that turns us into zombies.

The real question here is, "Why am I at the park in the first place?" Id have to be old, its the only way Id actually go to a park just to sit.

You see him sitting; why assume that's all he's doing?
