So, I'm having trouble finding a music player that I like and I'm curious. Which music players do you guys use? Your favourite iPods, stereos or computer programs, what do you use?

I use iTunes. Works fine if you don't mind the other crap that gets installed. Although if you use actual Apple hardware like Airport or an iTouch, then most of it is necessary.

I personally wouldn't get a touch though. Those Zunes look nice. I heard they're just drag and drop for music. Way better than ipods.
Empty sig is empty.

iPods still have the most accesories by far. own no mp3 players though.

I listen to the radio via their websites if I'm not in my car. :bandit:

foobar2000 for the win. (And for Win only, though last I checked it runs perfectly under WINE.)

Portable of choice for a few years was an iriver H320 running Rockbox firmware, wore the battery out, made myself an Altoids tin battery pack because I was too cheap to order a new Li-ion... then wore the power jack out from constantly using the battery pack. :P

Current portable is an 80 GB iPod Classic (original revision). Had the features I wanted and enough space for all my stuff, at a good price. And while I used to harbor a healthy dislike for iPods, most of that has been fixed. Except that it's still tied to iTunes. And doesn't support FLAC.

I do use iTunes as my iPod manager because I haven't found anything better to do the job. (foo_dop came the closest in theory but I couldn't get it to work.) The downside is the extra storage space for keeping an iPod-compatible library alongside my regular collection. (Pretty much have to, since iTunes doesn't support FLAC, Vorbis, WavPack, WMA, etc.)
Those who will remember, will speak fondly of the warm morning breeze.

Agreed. I like my Zune, even though I've run out of space on it. I use Windows Media Player while on my computer. It works fine for me.

I don't really like WMP. It seems too laggy.

It's not really laggy, though it is prone to crashing. Oh well. I don't like the interface of iTunes. And I cbf to get some other fancy media player.

I have the original 30GB Zune, works amazingly, I have dropped it 100+ times, software (the one you must use to put on the media) is better then Itunes in my opinion.

Ipods and Itunes are good too, I have the 1GB Ipod shuffle clip one (used to have an Iphone too), its really nice and can store a lot of songs. Ipod headphones are nice, they last forever, but its like $30 for them, the 1GB shuffle clip is like $40 and you get a pare of headphones with it lol. Itunes kinda sucks compared to how easy the Zune software is.

^^PUT THIS IN YOUR SIG ASAP!
