The Rhinoceros beetle, Oryctes Rhinoceros, is the strongest insect, and indeed probably the strongest animal in the world for its size. It is capable of carrying weights as much as 850 times its own body weight - compare this to an elephant, for example, which can only carry up to about 1/4 of it's own body weight. The equivalent would be like you carrying 850 other people on your back!
