Roight...so...I'm looking to purchase a tablet to help me out develop my digital arts construction, just in time for my art class this next semester.

I've been told by several other artists that if you're going to buy a separate tablet for a desktop, you have to go with Wacom as they're some of the highest quality.

I've looked around, and they look pretty legit. Though fairly expensive too. Can anyone recommend a purchase? I've been looking at the Bamboo touch + pen. I think the touch gestures would be handy for moving around and rotating the canvas. However, some of the reviews I've read say that the gestures are kind of...finicky. :X I don't know if finicky means that they take some getting used to, or that they don't work at all and instead of rotating the canvas they blow up your computer.

SO! I'd like some input from experienced owners of Wacom products (or other tablets) on the product selection.

I've noticed there are a few cheaper Intuos tablets on ebay...guess some people just ended up buying something they didn't want. I'd buy an Intuos, but not new, as they're a bit steep for my price range. Would you guys recommend buying something "barely used?"

Thanks for your input boys and girls!

MWAH!
