I actually saw new hors on the actual channel instead of YouTube, 'cause I was up at 4am trying in vain to see the Orionids! I liked it. I hope we see more of Luna, and see her develop now that she's back among other ponies. (Why isn't there a Socially Awkward Luna meme yet?) Also, as much as I enjoyed the MOAR AWESOME provided by the first three episodes of the season, I'm glad it was toned down for this one. Feels more like the first season, and that's not a bad thing at all.

Also, props to Pinkie for staying so in-character with her costume. Literally and figuratively. (I think she actually laid an egg at one point, but that may have been my lack of coffee)

Luna = Trying so hard to fit in with all ponies.
Celestia = Sees her faithful student and her 5 friends working hard, sends 2 tickets to Gala.

Agreed that the episode had a first season feel to it, and I liked it much better. It's like it can speed up and slow down at will and not lose a step. Going from DisQord sipping his glass like a boss to a canterlot official royal voice Luna - season 2 delivers, and that was a high bar to reach.

Twilight and Luna were supposed to go to Rarity who was Still working on her costume(which explains why she isn't around). Twi wanted Rarity to give Luna a makeover to soften her image. Rarity made her an outfit which was the pinkest of pink pretty-pretty princess and Luna did not like it. As Luna took off the dress, it tore in her mouth. Pinkie and kids come in and "AHH!! NIGHTMARE MOON JUST ATE A PRINCESS!! RUN!"

It was deemed the least important bit and was tossed in the edit room.
