In light of not really leaving my apartment much at all in the past month, I'm starting to lurk in places I haven't lurked in a long time.

For those of you still finding this corner of the internet, how's life in the pandemic?

I don't tend to go out much anyway but I'm really starting to miss my family. I can still talk to them online but its not the same. Hopefully I'll get a job soon so I'm not quite so isolated!

Not really any lockdowns here except borderwise, but a lot of people are losing their jobs due to reduced demands. Shame.

Hopefully we've seen the worst of it now?

Doing alright here. We were work-from-home for a few months. That was great; made me wish I had a wfh job. But alas we're back in the office.

I'm also back to work. It's been nice to see other people again, despite the fact I got covid for a couple of weeks!

My roommate managed to get it back in Feb '20, so it's safe to assume I also had it. Managed to get the vaccine in May and have been doing alright since. We got hit pretty hard in the extended area, but with gratitude all my closest folks have managed to stay safe so far.

Just sticking with it and I hope all of you fine folks and your families continue to stay safe.

I'm glad I can come back here after all this time and report in, and I look forward to hearing more from some of you the next time I happen to swing by.

You've all been on my mind a whole lot, just so y'all know.

Not long now until everyone who wants it gets vaccinated. Then everything should go back to normal. :)

I really hate to do this, I really do. This sadly isn't the case. The Delta variant is a prime example of how dangerous new strains can flare up in poorer countries. The world superpowers will need to provide vaccines to these countries else new strains will continue to pop up in the poorer African and Asian countries.

It may one day be similar to SARS or Zika or Ebola or West Nile in that they're still an issue in said poorer countries. It'll take a lot longer to get there though given how infection COVID19 it only took a couple of cases of Delta to slip through border security to bring that strain to a new country.

I'm doing okay. I moved from the UK to Germany while it was still possible so I'm at least shielded from the mess going on there...

I had a dream about this place, which was odd, so I thought I'd at least post here. Does anyone remember MasterWyverne or Charlie4u2? Or any old friends. Is JTJTan still okay?

I'm amazed (a) I still remember this login name and password from 2006 (b) they still work.
