In the Beginning...

In a time before Saradomin, there was NOT nothing, rather that was a clever lie told to you by the church of Saradomin (and Zamorak for that matter.) There existed rather a peace loving civilization known only as the followers of Briciu. He was not really a god to these people, however. Rather it he was more like a life force which spawned all things. Briciu was the sun, the moon, and the stars, the planet, the cosmos, the waters. Briciu was everything. They believed that from him, all good things came. But one day, something horrible happened...And their civilization was no more...

More to come tomorrow in issue number 2!

Looks to be good so far... but... as this is RS-related, I believe it should go to SeeD Inn...

*Requests a move*

*Realizes this is in General Discussion, not Chatting Zone*

Then Came War...
When the followers of Briciu thought that all was well with their civilization, they were horribly mistaken. For 8,000 years after the creation of their great city of Quavispa, the peaceful ones (as they also are referred to) were under attack. Who would commit such a crime? Indeed it was a terrible day, for the attackers were none-other than the White Knights of Falador, pounding down on the city with all the force they had. Why would Falador attack such a peaceful city? Well, through a secret document written by only one shameful knight, Lord Arimas, the reasons became clear; At the time, Falador was at a great war with its neighbor Varrock over the a lost artifact of great power. Varrock was in search of this same artifact, and thus sent spies throughout Runescape to locate it. Since this item rightly belonged to Falador and had been secretly hidden somewhere unknown by both Falador and Varrock, it spurred a great war. While in search of the Varrock spies, The White Knights came upon the ancient city of Quavispa. Fearing that spies had found the sacred item, and were storing it in the city, the White Knights attacked the city. The Knights were merciless, sparring NO ONE who got in their path. After the hours of slaughter, buring, and pillaging, Quavispa lay as nothing more than a heap of hot ashes. Realizing that the Knights had made a grave error, they all retreated back to Falador, and continued the war their, never to mention anything of their mistake. Thus, over time, all memories of the city, as well as the god Briciu were lost. However, the war for the artifact raged on...

Read more about the War of Varrock and Falador in the next issue!

***DIG NUMBER ONE***

Through extensive digging near Al Kharid, the ancient ruins of Quavispa have been found. Artifactual excavation is also under way as we speak. Through analysis of items, no weapons could be found. This find is strange indeed since other more fragile items such as pottery, and even animals skins were recovered. This strange occurance suggests that at the time of Quavispa's attack by the White Knights, they were completely helpless...

Quite good.
I like the idea of the White Knights getting it wrong and destroying a harmless and innocent city.
Looking forward for the third.

The Hermit

As the war raged on, and Runescape fell victim to slaughter and a war-scarred land, the ancient artifact still remained lost...well perhaps not lost, rather hidden...

Deep in the wild, a hermit named Certicas lived. There, he hid form the world, for he had long feared the evil that he knew dwelled in all men's souls. Years went by before he felt the fancy to return to civilization. When the old hermit came back again into the cities, he saw the horrors that were human kind...greedy merchants selling overpriced goods, scamming con-artists who swindled noobs out of a deal, and people killing other people for sheer pleasure in the wild. Worse yet, an artifact existed that could spawn infinite power, and bid the absolute will of whoever possessed it. Indeed, this troubled Certicas, since at that time two nations were fighting for the artifact they both called "rightfully ours." So, the old hermit thought up a plan to get rid of the ancient artifact...

Just wait and see what happens in issue 4! Coming tomorrow!

***DIG NUMBER TWO***

We now have evidence that Certicas lived somewhere near the church at the back of the wild. We have found items of clothing, animal-skin blankets, and pottery, some even with the name "Certicas" inscribed on them. Our research through soil analysis has now led us to believe that Certicas lived in his area for nearly 400 years, an almost infesible amount of time for a meer human...
