Even an unnecessary revival. What damage does it cause? How much of a disturbance is it in reality? A temporary one twenty-fifth of one forum, an "annoyance" that can simply be overlooked and may as well not exist to those who are against it, and it's enough to spark anti-revival threads trying to limit members from expressing themselves?
By someone posting something minor in an old topic, what damage does it do to everyone? By moderating his/her post (other than moving to insanity if necessary), however, to the member it is nothing more than unnecessary censorship.
Also, what I'm saying is that revivals aren't all spam. I believe that if someone actually posts something, he/she has a purpose in it whether others agree or not (unless pointless spam). If it's not spam, just because someone finds it pointless doesn't mean that the member should be chastised for it. It just means that the one who finds it annoying doesn't need to read it. Wouldn't it just die if enough agree?
