I've played the Jap version. . . but I still have to wait for the Pal version to come out on the 26th of September.

Hehe, while the power was down I was bored and went to a nearby mall. There I decided to get Soul Calibur 2 for Gamecube (hard decision between Link and Spawn...). A couple days later the power came back on (was a result of the hurricane) and I could finally try the game...
... and it's sweet! I would recommend this game to anyone who likes fighting games. It's not my favorite genre, but SC is a very good game and I've been playing it for a bit after the power came back on.
Oh, and I use Kilik, Raphael, and Link the most.

It isn't released here in Australia for another 4 or 5 days. I plan to buy the Gamecube version, getting a little sick of playing as child link in games. Sounds like a very good game, with a lot of replayability. Anyone who has played it on gamecube, do the controls work okay?

Uh-huh, the Jap version I played was on the Gamecube. Fine controls. Although, I'd be more comfortable with the PS2 contols

Dang you Gamecube owners! You have link, and we only get an old man. Anyway, if you look, Kilik sometimes shares a slight resemblance to Squall, heh heh. At least he sometimes looked similar when I played. . .
