In my opinion, the whole storyline was kinda messed up, when I got to the ending, I was like That was soo weird... Imagine that you had played with a zombie character all along... FFX was spacey... I'm more to FFVIII, with the nice, old school "The-hero-kills-the-evil-one-and-gets-the-girl" ending... But that's just me

The storyline is A lot more complicated than you first expect. Took me 2-3 times thru to completely understand it. It goes a lot deeper than 'he disappears, end of story.'

It's sorta hard to explain, if you havent realised yet, I cant put anything i understand into words
Try watching the credits right to the end, that explains a lil bit, also talk to all of the Aeons in the Fayths, you can only do a lot of these once you have defeated a Dark Aeon. It is a while since i have played the game, but i think it is the Bahamut, or the Shiva Fayth (you need to defeat Dark Shiva to get here). They will talk a lot about what will happen to the "dreams."
I havent played it for 6 months, so i cant remember a lot of the stuff.

Also talk to EVERYONE in the game, and you can piece bits together, to find out more about the ppl, and dreams.

Okay then, I'll explain it!

Tidus is a DREAM. The Zanarkand he is from is a DREAM. The Fayth have been DREAMING the Zanarkand. Spira's Zanarkand (the real one) waged War with Bevelle using Machina (Yes, Bevelle used MACHINA)- Bevelle was going to win from the start. The people of Zanarkand, fearing their Annihilation after Zanarkand was reduced to rubble, decided to keep Zanarkand alive- in a Dream state: meaning that they turned into the Fayth.

Auron got to the DREAM Zanarkand because he was dead- Sin could get there because he was Sin.

The Fayth were sent to the Farplane at the end of the game- Tidus could not live if the Fayth weren't in Spira: the living part of it. So, he went to the Farplane after saying Goodbye to his love- Yuna, and his friends.

Thats-about-it: that's the story line simplified.

hey this is Blaze,
I thought it was quite easy 2 understand after my second playthrough. I thought it woz pretty sad at the end though how every1 had 2 say goodbye 2 Tidus and Auron. But hey, atleast most of us know that it's not over coz FFX-2 is coming out soon!

The only problem with xx-2 is that its totaly different like Yuna has machine guns and stuff and ya its just supposed to be different.

it's kinda embarrising but hey we're on a forum you don't know who i am, but anyway i cried at the end of ff-x i didn't want tidus to go, it was pretty unexpected because in the other games they always got together so i thought tidus and yuna would get together, love each other etc but they didn't. ah well at least tidus and jecht are freinds now and they will be with auron too so i guess they're not alone. and anyway i think tidus might come back in x-2 and not just in yunas dream sequence because at the end of the credits he swims towards the you smiling so maybe he will. but no aeons, it's like the first ff game without summon monsters.
