Regarding Holiday Drops...

Holiday drops occur on holidays (duh), and are special items that you can only get on that particular day. Most of them don't have any use, and the few that don't aren't worth using anyway (scythes only give 11-11, even an iron weapon would be better), but instead are meant as a fun little thing. Past holiday drops were tradeable, and later, they became rare and expensive, as the party hat. All newer drops (bunny ears and scythes), are non-tradeable. I think that was all of it...

Actually, the scythes only give Weaponaim +10 and Weaponpower +10. Your base is 1, not 0
The drops typically occur every hour or so, on every server, and practically everywhere in the RuneScape world. They're usually accompanied by a system message (see my sig) when they appear.
2001-2002
Halloween: Pumpkins: Edible; heals 14 HP.
Christmas: Christmas Crackers: Use on other players;
Easter: Easter Eggs: Edible; heals 14 HP.
2002-2003
Halloween: Halloween Masks: Available in blue, green, and red.
Christmas: Santa Hats: +3 to Magic stat (in the Equipment section).
Easter: Bunny Ears: Non-tradable, cannot be sold, can only possess one, only seen by you if dropped. If lost, talk to Thessalia in the Varrock Clothes Shop for a free replacement.
2003-2004
Halloween: [I]Scythes[U]: +10 to WeaponAim and WeaponPower stats, two-handed weapon, non-tradable, cannot be sold, can only possess one, only seen by you if dropped. If lost, talk to Thessalia in the Varrock Clothes Shop for a free replacement.
Christmas: Only JAGeX Staff knows...
Easter: Only JAGeX Staff knows...
Personally, I have a green Halloween Mask, a Santa Hat, some Bunny Ears, and a Scythe. I want a green Party Hat, but it's a long way off before I can afforc to buy one from another player

The only Holiday Item I haven't had possession of was the Party Hats. I eveh had a cracker... I thought it was useless, so I dropped it! I was level 5, can you blame me?
As for the Scythe Graphic.. I doubt it's even theirs. I saw the exact same one around a yearbefore this drop, in a editted picture

| Heh... I remember the pumpkins... there were big rumors that they were fakes. I did see them appear but I was so confused then never hearing about drops I didn't pick one up. |
Lol, that makes me think about the first time I saw an easter egg. I was playing at a friend's, and he was watching me playing. We were both noobish (level 30 or so), and this guy offered an easter egg. I had never heard about these drops before, neither had my friend, so we came to the conclusion, that it must've been some hack-program, where you could make your own items. Ah, those noob days

Correction on the crackers: First, the game randomly chooses between you and the person you use it on. Whoever is chosen will get an item. Then, the game randomly chooses between a party hat or a regular item. If it's aparty hat, it randomly chooses between the 6 colors. If not, it randomly chooses between cheap items (cake slices, spinach rolls, silk, single iron ore certs, etc).
So, when you use a cracker, you have a 50% chance of receiving the gift, and a 50% chance of the gift being a party hat.
