I recently have noticed a lot of totally spam posts. I know we have quite a few new members and I would like to inform everybody about posting rules.

- Emotions and remarks: Remarks like "LOL" or "Yeah what they said" will not be tolerated and should not be posted.

- SPAM: The only place where is spam is "mildly" allowed is in the insanity board and no other forums shall contain spam.'

More will be added and other mods feel free to add more.

Yes I do agree, "some" spam is allowed, but should be bound with a proper post. Otherwise, it will be deleted.

Agreed.

For instance, "Lol" is pointless, but "Lol, yeah, that happens to me a lot too... *Another sentence or two*" is OK.

Yes.

Generally, spam is just short messages such as, "Wow." or, it can be a pointless message. For example, in a topic entitled, "W00T! 99 Smithing!" You shouldn't be saying, "Cheese is fun." bluetongue.gif

Serph, we didn't mean for this to become an arguement Whatever_anim.gif Those topics are to congradulate those who have achieved something. Birthday topics are also allowed, as long as they arn't for inactive members. I think you know what we mean eek7.gif

Stupid (or Short) Pointless Annoying Messages

or

Stupid Posts Annoying Moderators

Let's put this another way. Before posting a reply, please ask yourself the following question: "Does my reply offer any advice or contribute positively to the conversation in any fashion?" If you can answer "yes" to this, then please reply. If you cannot, then please don't reply.

Replies to threads that just say "Congrats!" or something like that are fine. You should try to add a little more (example: in a thread to congradulate a new moderator, you could say "Congrats! I'm sure you'll do great! How is it so far?" or anything else you would like to say about the topic instead of "Congrats!"), but it's still fine.

Everyone should just make sure what they post has meaning and actually has to do with the topic. If you want to express your thoughtrs, don't just say "Lol" or "Heh", add more to it. Tell why you think it's funny or whatever you feel about it.

I feel offended by you calling me a hypocrite. I am sure you know the difference between SPAM and a congrulatory comment. Please do not post much here, consult a mod if necessary.

It is up to the mod(s) to decide. I think if you read what is posted above over and over you will get your answers.
