I have read a few posts about this mock war, and I think there are enough people active now to make a fair war. I think this will be a fun event, and we can have a party before/after the war and some other events as well. I hope you guys want this to happen, because I am really excited over this.

Ya, I was reading these posts and was really excited about this, then I saw the date posted... sad.gif .

Hopefully if some of the old people left, we could replace them with new members. And since there's supposibly that other rebel group out there, it might help, of course, Gunblade is probably taking care of that.

Still, considering recent events, all could probably benefit from a little practice in wilderness fighting.

I saw the date too, but they all said wait a year to start this up again. I decided to post 6 months later.

We have so many more active members than were listed in the war, so I think it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Very true. It could also help for us to train how to team PK. Teamwork is essential, and practice will always help.

Yeah, it was decided it wasn't such a good idea to do it then... It's a massive task to organise all of this, and I never much liked the idea of an extended war over the course of a week or month... However some practice group battles in the wilderness would be good training, and good fun. I have next to no experience at pking, same as many others, so we'd need to try and get an idea for how many people do, and allocate even amounts to each team.

I'd like to see this happen again, but due to random pkers....... Some items may be lost. Also, their is a danger of people being targeted specifically, and this may spark a few conflicts. But, I'd love a nice fight!

Banana Boy- Familiar
Alignment: Light
Xanthor Drathos - Sorceror
Class info:
Sorcerer: Like wizards, but bound to darkness. Sorcerers practice spells of destruction and darkness. Like wizards, they are physically weak, though can do massive damage if given the chance to cast a spell.
- Intelligence Effect (per point): Decreases EP consumption of abilities by 15
- Strength Effect (per point): Normal attack DP + 2
Hometown: Shral Valeron
Race: Dark Elves: Diverging into the path of Darkness at an undetermined date during the Second Age, Dark Elves have become one of the few true evil races in Earthia. They consider Undead to be below them, and scowl at all races and classes not allied with Darkness. While they are not known to hide in the shadows like other Dark races, they are probably one of the most capable of directly harnessing the dark powers of the world to do their bidding.
- For Dark classes: Intelligence + 10; At a post count of 4000, Intelligence + 20 instead

Me Spells
Sorcerer:

- Dark Grip (0): EC=5; DP=4: Surrounds the target with a dark mist, doing minor damage.

- Choke (0): EC=7; DP=5: The Sorcerer holds out his/her hand and chokes the target, doing minor damage.

- Stun Target (0): EC=7; DP=0; Effect = Stun: Target cannot take any actions or move: Prevents target from taking any actions for 20 seconds. Will not take away the target's next turn in battle.

- Blast of Darkness (150): EC=50; DP=35: A conjured wave of darkness slams the target.

- Dimensional Ripple (200): EC=70; DP= 40; Effect = Stun: Target cannot take any actions or move: Attack spell that also stuns the target for 20 seconds. Will not take away the target's next turn in battle.

- DarkForce (300): EC=120; DP=75: Darkness crushes the target from all directions.

- Levitate (350): EC=200; Effect = Levitate: Prevents damage from ground based attacks as long as the target (anyone) is in the region.

- Suffocate (450): EC=200; DP=50 Each Turn For Following 3 Turns: The air is removed around the target, suffocating him/her. Does minor damage for three turns (along with additional attacks for the following two).

- Ground Shock (600): EC=250; DP=110: Will not affect levitated targets

- Dimensional Wave (800): EC=400; DP=160: The dimension is warped around the target, causing a large amount of damage.

- Evil Cyclone (1200): EC=500; DP=180: A temporary portal to the dark world opens, consuming the target in a cyclone of shadows, ultimately crushing him/her.

- Death's Warning (1200): EC=100; DP=0: Will cause great fear to the target and cause him/her to leave the location and go back into the general region. Will not affect Wizards.

-> Storm of Darkness (1500): EC=750; DP=260: The powers of the ancient sorcerer are summoned, showering the target in flames and consuming him/her in darkness.

- Summon Familiar (2000): EC=500; Effect = Summon a Familiar to travel/ Can do anything except attack or use abilities: Allows you to summon a familiar and send it to other areas. It cannot attack and will come back to you if attacked.

-> Dimensional Crack (2000): EC=1000; DP=400: A local form of Dimensional Storm targeting one character. The target temporarily experiences the effects of being caught between dimensions in this destructive spell.

- Destroy Light (2500): EC=2000; DP=HP of the summoned target (if the summoner is below your post count): Will defeat any summoned being of light which is under the control of someone of a lesser post count.

- Summoning of Destruction (3000): EC=2300; DP=750: The Sorcerer uses the powers of the ancients to conjure a local cataclysm.

- Dark Gate (3200): EC=800; DP=0: Will send a friendly target back to his/her hometown as an evacuation.

I bet we could find a place or world that is pretty much free of random pkers.

That's true, but there's not much we can really do about that.

There are maybe two problems I see with this, 1. I thought that some other person, not Serph and Trifang and those people, but another person that was gathering a rebel group, and all these SeeDs together would be a tempting target. 2. We won't have enough people, or, if we do, we won't be able to organize a time when the majority could come.

Those are really the only problems I see.

I think I'll start this up again soon. We'll have to start all over again and make many new additions. We can practice using those war jobs and the system of the Galbadian Legion (the mock war could text out things for the organization of the Galbadian Legion). I'll also see if I can change the way Generals are chosen so that it won't be a popularity contest. I don't think I'll be adding Genesis though.

I hope to add a lot more to the rules to and pretty much change the whole thing, so it'll be like starting from scratch. bluetongue.gif I hope to start it up again soon. grnwink.gif

Personally, I think having leadership based on strength is a bad idea. Leadership should be determined by... well, leadership skills.

Ahem. I'd like to say that this mock war is/was fairly interesting and I was the one to suggest it when it was finally implemented. At the time I was low rank, but now I'll be able to do a lot of prep work with it, and I understand more about preperations, and leadership.

Aside from this... well.. CoaL should be returning soon enough...

Good leaders would be people who are good in the wilderness, understand PKing well, can teach the less wilderness-adequate ones, lead the team to victory, motivate the team to do well, as well as many other things. A leader is organized and well-knowledged. The clan has many good leaders in it, so being the highest level won't mean much (Base bluetongue.gif).

Also, since the clan set up a war plan, picking the leaders will be quite easy. Since the leader of the clan picked people who he feels could lead us in time of need, they will be nominated for leadership jobs, and will probably be picked.

How soon? I can't wait! On the topic, PKing is far different from a war.... PKing involves killing from profit against opponents who will probably not come back, unless they are 1) Rich or 2) Mad . In a war, opponents will almost certainly come back, and will not run away, outta the wildy.

Hmm, maybe we could have this over a 3 day weekend, I am pretty sure there's a holiday for the schools in USA (don't know about Australia, NZ, or Canada) on a monday, so we could hold a best of 3 war (whoever "wins" at least 2 times) over the. We could probably revive the team one and team two topics and post tactics, vote on leaders, and other stuff in those.

Also, for the members, maybe we could hold one on RS2 to test out running and other new updates. biglaugh.gif
