Well, this might be my last gripe about the world of retail. Why? I just might have a job with a corporation as a Computer Programming Intern eek4.gif a rather interesting story actually. Short though.

Mainly this was at the time of the Valentines Day Rush, Friday the 13th. Just as things were winding down for my shift, about an hour and a half to go, My coworker says that I have a call and asks if she should take a message. My initial thoughts were that the only people who would call my work is Family and the only reason would be in an emergency... so of Course I will not leave it for later. I took the phone:
"This is Rafael, how may I help you?"
"Heeeey Ralph, this is Garry."
"..."
"Hello?"
"Yeah? Oh, Garry?? Wow, hey, how're you doing? I haven't heard from you since last year."
**Background Info**
Garry was one of my instructors at my college. He's also a full time programmer with a contracting corporation. One of my other instructors is the VP of the Corporation as well... so I know people on the inside.
**End O Background Info**
"Hey, how're you doing?"
"Hanging in there, Valentines y'know"
"Yeah, true. Hey. I was wondering. We have an opening for an internship here, I was wondering if you're interested."
"O_O Heck yeah i'm interested!"
"Okay, great, i'll e-mail you the information."

So, while working for the last hour and a half I was doing backflips in my head. Since then I've been sending info back and forth and i'm near finalization... hopefully by this week I can post good news.

I'm crossing my fingers thumb.gif

Thats great news!!!

Hope it works out for you, sounds much better TheSmile.gif . I guess if you get the job you'll have to write the 'platinum crownicles' about what it's like being an intern, but at least thats something grnwink.gif .

No more stupid and/or nasty customers?
