Lately I've been noticing the need for myself to get something to scan my PC for spyware more and more. Speeds seem to be slower, crashes seem to be easier. I've already tried Spybot, and, well, it didn't seem to... like me, parsay. angry-smiley-019.gif In other words, can anyone here suggest a "spyware scanner" that can help me? (Note: I would prefer something with popularity, and after that, if possible, free biglaugh.gif )

i use Spybot, ad-aware and my virus scanner. just dont feel safe without them biglaugh.gif

if spybot is playing up, you probably have some major spyware. fully update it and immunize with that option.
download ad-aware se (the latest version) here

ill leave the virus scanner and firewall up to you.

and remember to update everything, its amazing what a difference it makes. post what you find with them thumb.gif

Yep, Ad-Aware should probably be your next choice. They have upgraded versions that you pay for, but the free ones are pretty good (thats what I use bluetongue.gif)

I would suggest getting Ad-Aware SE Professional (Have to buy) not sure how much it costs but from what I hear it is REALLY good. I have it myself but my mom bought it so not really sure on the price but it IS worth it. thumb.gif

There is this other spyware scanner which I heard is really good but I forgot its name. Also anti-virus scanners don't detect spyware.

We march... We march to war... We march... We fight... We are Spartans. Blood will fall, but it will not be ours... We march... Sparta is war reborn... we are the children of war... We are Spartans.
I am Leonidas, and this is my story. I have met the wolf, felt its bite, and I have survived. These new wolves are neverending, but Sparta will show true might. Though we fall, still we will come for we are war incarnate. I have started this, and so must I finish it. Xerxes shall die, this I, Leonidas, warlord of Sparta, do say. This is the story of the 300... the story of Spartan heroism. Though we bled the ground red at Thermopolyae, still we live on.
War is Sparta, We are Spartans. We are War!
