If I want any of that, I'll buy a laptop. Since I want a purely gaiming device, I'll go DS.

i dont like the touch screen in DS. like in metroid prime u use the touch screen to aim which is hard

Well the PSP games come in discs

You see, the whole point of a HANDHELD is for it to be portable, thusly HANDHELD. If I need to worry about scratching my game discs that are supposed to be PORTABLE, then I have one crappy system. In short: Cartriges are better than discs portability wise.

Yeah the PSP does have good graphics but I still like the DS if this causes so mutch conflict Ill copy and paste MV talyors post into the the my post so you can hear both sides and as for saying DS rules and then PSPs time has come I just fail to see the problem maybe I am moron cause I just don't see whats wrong there.

Technologically, the PSP is superior to the DS. However, it's also more expensive, and isn't easily portable due to the short battery life.

The DS is cheaper with longer battery life, and has some unique features (the mic and second/ touch screen), but those unique features are useless if not incorporated well. (Look at the Dreamcast's VMUs. 'Nuff said.) It can also play the older GB/ GBC/ GBA games, and soon (if I'm remembering a c|net article correctly) there will be an add-on for mp3 and MPEG4 playback. The PSP, on the other, hand only supports its proprietary disc format, and getting publishers other than Sony to release PSP music and video will require the DS to prove itself first.

Both systems have advantages and disadvantages... it's all going to come down to how good the games are. If all else fails, spend the next few months playing the truckload of PC and console games that were released over the holidays, sell your GBA, and buy the PSP and DS used.

The problem is that your asking for a fair poll when all you are doing is praising the DS, and putting down the PSP. Anyone that hasn't herd of either one would have gone with the DS. I am glad that you decided to put MV Taylors post up their. Now it is much more fair.

I still am going with the PSP. I have played the DS, and I didn't like it. Go with whatever system you like. PSP is supposedly comming out it March of this year for North America and Europe. Thats good for Me since My birthday is in March. Good luck with your systems.

I was merely trying to provide the good points for the PSP but since i was rather pissed off at something in rs i sort of took it out on you.

Nate 90/natenater90 - you are a member so you have nothing to loose from logging in using the same account on multiple computers...why dont you keep things simple and use one account. the reason i insulted him (sorry to sproogle who doesn't like that) is that he is a multi of the same person who has also voted in the poll and i just thought..whats the point in that. Also he says oh the psp games sound like crap without having played them. i don't think i called any DS games crap unless i quoted somone who had actually played it, if i diud sorry im a hypocrit

Yoda - sorry for using abuse it's just you started your poll by saying in my opinion nintendo is the king of handhelds and finish by saying if you want a true gaming experience buy a DS.

Asyluman - I was just counteracting yoda's DS owns PSP rules post with my own (sorry if yoda's post wasn't intended like this..mine was). Also him liking DS and then saying please vote means neutrals side with him...its basic that when you are creating a poll the person who creates it does the same for both options (either says nothing or says advantages/disadvantages of both)
