I don't like extreme metal either, but metallica is something that just gives you a certain feeling, and that feeling happens to be very addicting.

the only reason i bother to listen to metal occasionally is that metal solos are AMAZING. but yeah, otherwise i hate metal sad.gif

everybody has different discriptions of what metal is...

some only think metal is slipknot.

some like me have an extremely broad definition

Yep, theres plenty of sub genres within metal

necrometal has a decent attempt at defining what they are
