Ok I honestly have to post this is BRILLIANT! lol10.gif

I was having an MSN convo with Spike before and he wanted to know Kiwi slang off me so I reeled off a few and he laughed his head off and then looked them up on the internet and happened to find this site. This'll help all you Americans to actually understand us Kiwis/Aussies and peeps from Britain. Reading these actually made me realize how heaps of you Americans were confused whenever I spoke when we first talked so this'll help out. Mind you, you can kinda tell the Australian and British ones from the Kiwi ones... no one here says "Crikey dick!" over here unless we're bagging Aussies. icon_sweatdrop.gif

Oh the words are like what they are as well as the definition next to it unless stated otherwise. e.g. A "stirrer" is an object used to stir stuff like liquids as well as a person who "stirs" up trouble. "Tea" is a drink as well as a term used for dinner.

Although it's not like "fanny". I'm honestly never going to stop laughing over the clashing definitions of "fanny". lol10.gif

Oh warning... this might have bad words. More likely WILL have bad words so it's at your own choice if you wanna read this. biglaugh.gif

http://www.chemistry.co.nz/kiwi.htm

Americans should NEVER use the word "root" as a verb here to cheer on someone. rofl.gif

Oh note that not all the definitions are correct. "Pakeha" is really something along the lines of "white person" 'cause you most definitely would NOT call an Asian a "Pakeha" bluetongue.gif

^^ Thanks Ayumi, you rock!! ^^

My my, our convo when I was "translating" the Kiwi words into American words was hilarious. Much of it isn't appropriate for here, so I won't post it. But I can tell you, things are a lot different, especially "root" and "fanny" bluetongue.gif .

Pakeha really means 'Non-Maori' but the people are so **** scared of being pulled up for Un-PC behaviour, so Pakeha now means 'White Person' becuase White Person is offensive.

You remind me of that Wizard in the Wizards Tower who can never say anything right. -.-

Weird people.

I'm not even going to try and look that up.

SJ: Ah well, 'twas fun just creating it.. Since I picked 6 random words and put them in a sentence.. biglaugh.gif

I HAVE TO LOOK IT UP NOW!!

Here's a tall story, I had a sandwich, which I haven't had in forever. Then I took a break, but a person who was a bit thick woke me up..
That person who spoils the fun of others.

Best I could do. :$

Most of the words anyway. bluetongue.gif

But we don't say it like Star just did. We just use some of the words in a sentence. eek7.gif

Although I completely understood what Star was saying, Janey's right, we don't use ALL of the words in the same sentence. icon_sweatdrop.gif

Can't help but laugh at it, though.
