I know its not much but It is kool to have new player have full iron instead of full bronze, plus full bronze hurts the eyes lol. That's a very generous idea, frisco.

If I could make a suggestion though, sometimes it's more useful to help them with advice and help than with items. Maybe after you give people iron, you could give them a few tips how to make money themselves, so they're not stuck begging from others. People appreciate gifts more, but in the long-term they'll be better players if they can make something of themselves.

Give them mith or something, iron isnt really worth anytrhing to even low levels, and careful if they actually are low levels and not people on pures
