Whenever I run out of beverages, I get frustrated because there is no other drinks except milk/water. I like ice tea, but I don't have the mix BUT I have those teabags. Last night I made an attempt to make one 'cause I was desperate.

I had a large glass, got water and put it in the water pot. Boiled the water and poured it into the glass, then the box said put 3-5 bags in the boiling water, then chilled it for a few minutes. When it was cool enough, I took a sip, and it was the weirdest taste evarrr. I was like woah this is some funky shtuff. It was awkward, it tasted blah but, it stabbed at my taste buds with this weird taste. I added sugar which made it a bit sweeter but I still kept feeling that awkward attack.

Can anyone that has made a successful Lipton Ice Tea drink using tea bags tell me how to make a good one? Fanx guys icon_sweatdrop.gif

get a coffee maker (im so serious here it's not funny) put 3 or four bags where the coffee goes (screw the filter teabags self filter bluetongue.gif ) add about 10 cups of water and let it brew, add 1 cup of sugar and there you go.

if you like it stronger/ want more just add more bags thumb.gif

btw mix sucks

1. Make a pot of tea as you normally would, sweetener and all.
2. Fill the pitcher halfway with ice, and pour all the tea into it.
3. Fill the pitcher the rest of the way with water.
4. Chill.

I think that's how we do it, but I'm not the one who makes it and we haven't made any in awhile. icon_sweatdrop.gif
Those who will remember, will speak fondly of the warm morning breeze.

Im guessing that Phieta's way would work, Except for the part where ya put the tea into the ice. The ice would melt really really quickly FIREdevil.gif

But yarr.. Just chuck it in the fridge =P Should work.
Empty sig is empty.
