Looks good. The fact Alliances actually benifit in the terms of teaming together on Alliance-specific missions is quite a good idea. Though it's not really that detailed. Who knows, alliances might be between 3+ factions. We'll see.

    Yes. Although the final number of characters slots has not yet been determined, you will have more than four slots if you purchase Guild Wars and Guild Wars Factions.

Notice that they say you'll have more than four if you have both the normal game and the campaign. So they could only add like 1 character from what they say if they're stingy.

This FAQ is good as since it gives us a nice idea as to what's to come when Factions is released. Although if it's a stand alone game, I bet the price is going to be high. That'd be a bummer.

As far as I know the game will be standalone. I'm not sure as to say if that is a good or bad thing . I'm guessing that it will be a little cheaper than the original. I hope we get plenty more character spaces .

Ay, I've got no room, keep them to yourself. And besides, April is still two months away! Doesn't matter that much to me, I have a new Suikoden game coming out on the 24th of Feb to keep me entertained for a while.

Oh yeah! Never thought of it like that. If they want people to be able to play it without having to play the first one, they need more than one or two slots.

However it could work that each standalone game will give you four slots, yet if you already have one on your account, you'll only gain two more.

Looking at the current interface, I think Factions is gonna be an expansion. GW has such a high popularity the profit would be amazing. That's why we have the button to access Faction RPG or PvP.

No its a stand-alone game you dont need Guild wars to play it.

We have the 'ship' button because new continents will all be reached by ship. Furthermore, the area with the hall and the competitive arenas is not 'Cantha' (where Factions is held), but a special area called the Battle Isles. The Battle Isles can be reached from Tyria or Cantha, it's kind of like a middle-ground so that people with either game can meet up.

And Maxi, that thought had occured to me, but it would seem to be a bit much work to go through. I guess it depends how the two games are joined together. If you had a regular account and a factions account with 4 characters each and you combined them, I can see there being some problems.
