Well the past week, there has been a lot of talk about regulating and limiting the number of illegal immigrants in America. I would like to hear your vies on this and see what you have to say.

Too much of it is a bad thing. Immigration isn't like it used to be hundreds of years ago, when our country was new and Europe was in crisis. Most that immigrate nowadays are from Mexico, and that is really the stir of this controversy. Some immigrant workers are fine, they have a green card and are trying to make money for their family in order to send back to their home. But most are making desperate attempts to get in here. This is understandable, but we can't allow this flood of people in. Some argue that this is fine, because the illegal workers take the jobs that Americans won't take. I don't believe that is true. It's not that Americans don't want to take those jobs, many people are out of work and would want those jobs. It is just that you cannot make a living in this day and age with the salary they pay. Some of this is tied in with outsourcing, which is another argument. All in all, border security should be kept where it is or raised rather, because this influx is too much.

It's a disgusting bill. Does anyone know what it actually says? All illegal immigrants will be turned into felons. That is the bottom line. Any that are caught will be either sent to jail or deported immediately. Smallest estimates are 12 million people.

As for them taking up jobs that other people don't want, this is true. Most Americans are too lazy or disgusted by the jobs that they take, or simply won't work for that amount of money.

it's not going to pass. if it passes, it'll wipe out the whole bottom section of the economy, and that section is not an easy one to fill. who of you wants to go work at a McDonalds after you get out of college?

a news article that i read said that the only people who are significantly affected (i.e. their jobs taken over) by immigrants are high school dropouts. these people don't really matter, at least to the overall picture.

Though I disagree with the principal, I have to agree with the practical reasoning of Kaezion. Let the immigrants come and take all of the crap jobs. It gives even more justice to all the asses in highschool that lost their jobs to them. bluetongue.gif

Perhaps if the United States didn't support Mexican sweatshops, the illegal immigrants would not flee from their own country.

Technically, they're immigrants too, but I suppose everyone on Earth is except for those in Africa bluetongue.gif .

They've cut off Europe, Africa and Asia with moats, now all they need is one for Mexico and one for Canada..

I know it should be 2 for Canada because of Alaska, but I don't think Alaska has much of an illegal immigration problem

well i think if they're illeagl dont let them in the u.s but if they are leagl let them freely come in costumed-smiley-089.gif

moats would never work around americas they would use helicopters etc. or go north east towards marylard etc. then go in through the bay on a ship
