I'm sure you're all aware of Google language tools, right? A Google service that lets you translate text and websites between multiple languages? If you don't, you can look at it here.

Anyways, have you ever tried taking text in English, translating it into some random language, and then bringing it back into English? Comes out pretty darn garbled, let me tell you. And that's what makes it so fun. biglaugh.gif

So, I thought we could make a game out of it. Okay, maybe GD isn't the best place for it. If it gets too insane, any mod can feel free to move it to The Cafeteria or the IB. But, for now, I think it's all right to keep here.

So, here's how it works:

First, write your original phrase. For example...
A chicken runs, far from my homeland. It runs across a road, which should be funny, but actually isn't.

Then, show the language transition. Example...
English --> Korean

Next part, optional, write down the new phrase in that language. This isn't necessary, but it's always fun. bluetongue.gif Of course, I don't know if Invision Boards supports languages like Japanese and Arabic, but...

If you did that part, you can then do...
Korean --> English
Though that's not really necessary.

Finally, give us your final phrase, when changed back:
The chicken far, runs from my native country. It does fun, it runs but actually intelligence it is not in the opposite side of the road and. Gotta love it. biglaugh.gif

So, here's basically what it looks like:
QUOTE

A chicken runs, far from my homeland. It runs across a road, which should be funny, but actually isn't.
English --> Korean
Korean --> English
The chicken far, runs from my native country. It does fun, it runs but actually intelligence it is not in the opposite side of the road and.

And there you have it. Translation insanity.

Enjoy! thumb.gif

I'm so sick of my teacher forcing me to eat the ferret overlord's pants.

to German.....

to English.....

I am like that patient of my teacher, who forces me to eat the trousers of the Frettchen overlords.
And now we have the quote of the day, from greenl2l: PLONGED!!!

This is fun to do with song lyrics. Translate English --> German --> French --> English and see what comes up bluetongue.gif

QUOTE
I think that I will be sad, me thinks that it is today, yeah. The girl who leads me furiously, leaves. She has a chart with the voyage, A a chart with the voyage, A a chart with the voyage, but she is not interested.

Name that tune!
Those who will remember, will speak fondly of the warm morning breeze.

How are you today? I am good, except a tad hungry. We only have toaster pastries, which are gross.

To Italian:

Come siete oggi?

To English:

How you are today? They are good, except a tad starved. We have only pastry shops of the toaster, that they are gross.

To French:
Pas de l'OH. !

Hm. Some of mine it doesn't even translate all the way. Oh well.

I saw the proverbial Pie in the Sky today, and it came close enough for me to catch it. That pie was tasty, which is odd because the Pie in the Sky doesn’t actually exist.
To English:
I have seen today the cake proverbial in the sky and has come enough near affinchè interfered to me. That cake was saporita, that it is uneven because the cake in the sky really does not exist.
Back to English:
I have seen today the proverbial cake in the sky and have come quite affinchè near I interfered to me. That cake was saporita, of which that is unequal because the cake in the sky really does not exist.

The chicken has passive-aggressive disorder, so I suggest you run before it attacks. If it attacks, give it a strawberry and blueberry muffin.
To English:
The chicken has a disturbance passiv-konkurrenzfähige, therefore I proposal which you run, before it does not attack. If it attacks, Blaubeeremuffin and strawberry to give him.

Numa Numa?
Overwhelmed as one would be, placed in my position.
Such a heavy burden now to be "The One".
Born to bear and read to all the details of our ending
To write it down for all the world to see.
