Recruitment has been stalled in the last three years. Back in the day, we were gaining active members like crazy. These members participated frequently in events and posts a lot on the forums. Today, we still see these same mebers, but very few of them are new. Xmadole is our newest member to reach a post count of 500. He's somewhere around our 9000th member. We have 13587 registered members. Of the last 10,000 people to join curvedspace, only 6 of them have reached the 500 mark (something only 121 of us have accomplished [you're almost there atilla!]). As you can see, we have a problem.

1. Why are people registering, but not staying?

We need to know what it is that got our members here. What is it about curvedspace and seed that made you want to join? Why are you still around? What can we do to spread this awesome experience of being in this community to others?

I joined SeeD because it was fresh. Most of the other RuneScape clans out there had high requirements; SeeD (and a handful of others) had none. And out of those that lacked requirements, SeeD was the only one that hadn't died after a few "hey, new clan, join up" posts on Zybez/Tip.it; in fact it had recently passed the one-year mark and was thriving.

I'm still around because there are enough awesome people here to make me want to stay even though I rarely (if ever ) get on RS anymore.

As to spreading awesomeness... eh, I dunno. I've never been good at that.

I found out about SeeD via google wayyyy back around 2004 or maybe earlier. I think it's when RS2 just came out (or before the forum shift...). Became inactive in runescape because of school and such, but became active in SeeD again after picking up Guild Wars. One might say is was sort of a roller coaster ride.....

Well, I knew al ot of members and knew some history about this clan a while back....I al so remember searching something and google and it brought me here. I decided to register and check it out because I thought it would be a good Runescae clan with some great events...Now I'm here and I'm having a good time meeting some knew peole and have became real good friends here with just about everyone so I'm glad I'm here today...

Oh yea, just about everything keeps me here...

I came here my mere chance. Actually, it was due to the friendliness and availability of the people in it, too. I randomly saw an advertisement post in RSC by Godswarrior, which was the chance part. Then I look through the latest news post on the homepage, which was about a recent event. I copied down the names of the people in one screenshot (seed rules ) and added them to my friends list. I contacted argentine14, who told me the leader was Cspace, then not long after I contact him, and I got in. =) I remember flipping out in joy because he came me an ermerald and 1k, lol.

So really, I think the first contacts are of big importance. Maybe for each faction we're in, we could list people that are active in each of them as contact lists.
