Ok, so I 'found' a DS today. I'm in the process of getting a hold of some games. Phoenix Wright, especially (Maxi).

Now the thing is. I'm wondering how I get connected if I run into any WiFi games. Or if the previous user settings will not allow me to. I don't have any manual or anything so I have NO clue how to work this thing.

And is Picto Chat available to everyone? Or just people within like... A certain area?

If you have information, give it. Leave no stone unturned for me. K thx. <3

You'll either need a wireless router or a Wi-fi usb connector. http://ds.ign.com/ar...5/665128p1.html
You can buy it off the official Nintendo site or find a similar thing at Wal-mart.

PictoChat is a bit pointless, local wireless only with about a 30 metre range _sure.gif

But what DarkDream tells me is that for WiFi games, you have to be in proximity of other players. Same with picto chat. Though I did get an alert earlier in the schoolday that someone logged in to PC, but I didn't get there in time to meet them.

http://en.wikipedia....i-Fi_Connection

This says that you can play over the internet, if you have wifi enabled games like Mario Kart DS or Tony Hawk.

QUOTE
The Nintendo DS is an IEEE 802.11 device, and a player can access the service via any compatible wireless network.

Seems like you find eachother online by adding eachothers 'friend codes' which are unique to the each game cartridge.

So yeah, pictochat can't be used over the internet but other games can. =D
