Yes. Well. I'm sure there are many of us who want to learn how to play several different instruments. Or maybe just one. Or... maybe.. not at all... So let's share what those instruments are! Or, if applicable, say what instruments you can already play (if you don't play very well, but want to learn how to play better, I'd say you should just list that as an instrument you want to learn bluetongue.gif )!

Yes, well. I assume it's only sensible that I start. Let's see...
  • Piano
  • Cello
  • Violin
  • Guitar


That's all I can think of right now. I'm sure there were others bluetongue.gif

  6. Mandolin/Mandola
  7. Drums/Percussion
  8. Saxophone

I consider myself at the eternal intermediate stage of bass and 6-string guitar.

I can play bass and guitar, and I can play keyboards well enough to use them as a reference, but I'd love to be able to actually play keyboard.
Other than that, the instrument I'd like to learn the most is didgeridoo, but I'd also like to learn cello/double bass (blame Agalloch for that one).
I'd also like to at least be accustomed to drums, just so I can know them enough to not write boring drum patterns.

I think all instruments in the world would be fun and rewarding to learn, but those are the ones I'd like to learn the most.

Hmm... I play flute, not very well, I think, but people who listen always say how good I am (guess I can fake it well enough, I know all the things I should be better at, and they're seriously basic things too). I am happy with my tone.

Gave oboe a shot. Improved my tone on the flute, but the small amount of air needed was tough after being so used to the amount required by a flute.

And I'd like to learn violin (or perhaps one of the deeper-voiced strings [probably viola]) and piano.

Definitely guitar... I tried once but my fingers didn't seem to want to learn as much as my brain did :/

Drums would be good too, I just don't have anywhere to fit a kit...not to mention my neighbours would hate me bluetongue.gif

I can play the guitar, bass, and alto sax.

I'd like to learn keyboards/piano (maybe a mellotron biglaugh.gif) and sitar.
