The drops come by what other people dropped. Its a pool system so items arent taken out the game, and it all comes down to different factors behind what you do to get a better item from that pool. Sorta {expletive hax0rd by Cspace} really but its still fun having pking there from a clan aspect.

We've just been doing run ins vs RoT and afterwards when deaths are racked up, we just kill each other with the suiciders dying for 25k cash, rewards us pretty decently beacuse we've got all the hot spot time built up from the hour or so run ins. Got a DFS once but nothing bigger.

You can also cheat it by having 80k gp and a whip on you, go to a hotspot liek varrock castle and stay there logged in for 15 mins, get your friend to come to you with 26k in his invent, kill him and you usually get a decent drop, if you dont bank he can come back a few more times repeating until the items dropped are {expletive hax0rd by Cspace} and you can do the same again later.

* To get a reward from a kill, you also have to risk some items yourself!
* To accumulate a possible reward, you have to risk a minimum of 75k of items on a members’ world, or a minimum of 25k of items on a free world.
Note that your three most valuable items won’t count as being risked unless you’ve been skulled, as you wouldn’t lose them.
* The longer you spend on a PvP world (outside a safe area) with the required amount of items at risk, the better your possible rewards might become, to reward you for your risk.
* The possible reward increases even faster and goes to a higher maximum if you go into a ‘hot zone’.
* Note, however, that risking more than the minimum won’t improve your rewards faster, so it’s a good idea to take relatively cheap and useful items that won’t cost you too much to replace if you die.

You need to risk over 75k, the person you kill only needs to be risking 25k. F2p is pointless, the drops arent great. More of a p2p thing to do with a friend.

Eh, the fact that some salmon, some steel items, an amulet of magic, etc. are "epic loot" says that either you're a total newb (which I wasn't under the impression of xD), nothing good -ever- drops in PKing now, or... the economy of Runescape has been totally owned? o.o;
