If Rockstar and Take Two have not come under enough legal fire with the Hot Coffee Mod. Here is another niche in the damaged jacket of their's. Seems Jack Thompson is at it again saying that he is going to file a lawsuit against Take Two if they dont comply with his letter. I know that there are lines that needed to be drawn when it comes to video game violence, but this is just ridiculous.

Sorry, I heard lawyer in the title and just HAD to.. Especially if it concerns stick-up-where-the-sun-don't-shine Jack Thompson.

Eh, I hate it when people get uptight about violence in video games. What about movies, music, the internet... Heck, even other people at school. Or human nature. After all, ratings are there for a reason, and in many places a kid can't buy a 'mature' rated game without an adult. It's not like the concept of violence as an issue started with video games or anything else I listed (other than human nature)... And when it comes to drugs, some classical composers make rock groups seem almost clean. bluetongue.gif

I think these people are looking for a quick fix. They see kids sitting in front of a TV shooting demons with a shotgun, and suddenly that's the reason for all of life's problems. eek4.gif

Its the latest part in the cycle. First, it was Books. Yes, books. then, TV. Then, Rock and roll. Then, drugs. ok, maybe those last 3 are out of order, but still. Now its video games' turn. It'll all blow over in a few years. Just ignore Jack Thompson, and he'll go away. Like the giant squid.

There's no giant squid... it's just... the wind. Yeah, that's right. It's just the wind.

Fast forward 100 years:

Jack Thompson IV: "Holograms are corrupting our children!"
Sensibles: "They said that about video games 100 years ago, and think of all the good things video games do now!"
Jack Thompson IV: "DOES NOT COMPUTE"

He should go away. Seriously.

Reminded, the best way to make a guy like this go away is humiliate him, Just like the the guys at Penny Arcade do. And they do it well.

Such as Here, scroll down and read from "Yack Thompasn".

And of course, you gotta have a Wikipedia page about it too.

Humiliation and making the guy seem more and more irrelivent and untrustworthy are the best way to go!
