Here's A Plan For The RS Faction

I realize that our presence is scattered in RS at the moment, but if we take the right steps that can change. From the perspective of the site, we're already getting a lot of traffic from Runescape-related sources. We need to get more things going within SeeD as well as spread the word of our existence once again. If we are visibly active then not only will recruiting help, but those who come here by other means would be more interested in joining as well. It is very easy if we take all this methodically... No one needs to be a master promoter.

I am not asking for a lot, just a little time to help our guild. Everyone can benefit from one person's contributions. Many think they can't promote, but it's not too difficult to promote a clan. Heck, I even provided a message in Announcements that can be used if desired, with the BBCode and everything.

If you consider yourself a member of our Runescape Faction, please don't shove this off. This is a calling so your guild can become more than it has ever been. Just as some talk about our original members and how SeeD grew during 2002, and as some talk about 2003 and even 2004, they can be talking about you tomorrow as one who made our true "golden age" possible.

What do you want to be a part of? What do you want to build? What do you want to be known for? Being a passive member of an obsolete guild, or one who made another time of success possible? One who goes with the trend, or one who takes some initiative to make things better?

This is your chance. Tomorrow will be better than yesterday or today, it's up to you whether you want to be a part of it.

If you want to help...
This thread is here to provide some direction! This is not only a calling to current RS players, but to all who have been a part of the faction at one time or another... You don't need to be an active player to come to events or assist with promotion. Runescape is where SeeD came from! It's where all of our factions came from! We should keep it going, it will have a benefit on the community as well.

So what can you do?

Host events! It is easy, you don't need to work... Pick a time you can usually play, or heck, just post about something spontaneous! Feel like PKing? Want a party? Write up a thread and see who can come, even at moment's notice. You don't need to be an expert, these things practically run themselves if members want to come. They just need to know when to come and where to meet.
We need Promotional Officers! I can't stress this enough. If one wants to be a promotional officer, and follows through with trying to recruit, that's a big deal in my opinion. I may even make it a "Current Job" field of some sort so the title is visible in all of your posts. Look at any DStorm GM's posts to see what I'm talking about.
If you cannot do either of the above, it would be awesome if you can attend others' events. When you do, try to get some positive attention toward the guild if a situation arises where it's possible.
If you absolutely cannot do any of the above... Try to promote the RS Faction within CurvedSpace! That's a big help as well, for current members to try to help new members feel welcome. Also, please try not to undermine the faction, even if you don't play RS.

So... After all that, comments, criticism, suggestions, hate mail? I hope we can work something out.
