Best equipment for a non member pure mage

I have a pure mage and there doesnt seem like theres really any good armor available thats non members armor, so i need the opinion of others. What would the best equipment be for a mage?

Fancy Boots (from Stronghold) Blue or Black wizard hat or top, monk's skirt, magic amulet, dragon-fire shield, and any normal staff. Blue skirt's don't anything, so a nice prayer bonus is a good thing.
