One suggestion would be to require a minimum amount of posts to PM, or a minimum amount of time online, or even a minimum amount of time since you joined.

None of those are possible in the ACP, unless I guess if you right your own code to do it. Which would be a bit pointless.

You can set users to be automatically promoted when they reach a certain post count.

You expect Cspace to waste time setting that up just because some people are spamming in PMs?

If he wants to, yes. After all, he did disable the PM system because of people spamming.

Exactly. And it would take only like 5 minutes to set up a dummy member group.
