The reason why I'm downloading it is because it's not at my local Best Buy/Walmart/Target. :/ I don't usually download anything. (no, not even music)

Or you could just download Steam and buy it from there.

Considering you'd have to download steam anyway if you bought it legally.

Haha, computers aren't my thing. Funny joke. (:
Still lol, I guess the Portal game itself had a metric {expletive ninja'd by Cspace}ton of viruses and made my computer go AWOL and it fried the motherboard and stuff. D: Idk if I should risk this computer as it has 1TB of space and it was a birthday present.

Get an antivirus, and learn how to rightclick > scan.

As for cracks and suspicious executables, get in the habit of submitting them to virustotal.
It would be a good idea for you to learn how to recognize false positives if you plan to use virustotal. Some AV programs will call random things viruses because they don't like the way they were packed.

edit:
Not a virus

Not a virus, but it really, really looks like one to most AV software. This is the point where you need to know what the hell you're doing if you plan on using it.

I guess the point I'm trying to make is "Be careful and learn to google".

I have/had anti-virus and it still messed up my computer and killed it, I have eNOD (Or something like that) and my computer still died. I appreciate the virus total though, it stopped a MASSIVE trojan attack I could of had if I'd downloaded a torrent for The Orange Box, I figure just buying it for my 360 or something, thanks everybody.

It sucks on the 360. If you're going to buy it, buy it for the PC.

And it's been about a year since I've even seen a virus in a torrent. You're doing something horribly wrong.

For some strange reason, they don't sell The Orange Box on PC in Laveen. (That's where I live) They only sell it for 360 so meh. :/
