So, whenever I need to rant I come on here. Can you tell I haven't needed to rant for awhile? During the summer I've been forced over several roadtrips and camping sessions to listen to what I refer to as terrible music. This music includes:

Katy Perry: California Girls
Some Douche: Cooler Than Me
Eminem feat Rihanna: Love the Way You Lie (pretty funny seeing as how Rihanna is singing about spousal abuse, but still terrible)
Dunno who sings the rest, but:
That Ridin' Solo song.
Stupid Airplane song. I mean really. Who the {expletive ninja'd by Cspace} wishes on an airplane.
AND THAT {expletive ninja'd by Cspace}ING BILLIONAIRE SONG.

Anyways, in conclusion, I would like some solid, concrete evidence as to why these people make this terrible music. What motivates them? And who the {expletive ninja'd by Cspace} lets them get away with it? WHY DO PEOPLE LIKE IT?

Oh, and if I hear another one of these songs I'm going to shoot the source of it.

Well, I thought about it, but then dismissed it. I couldn't imagine making music for just the money, or to sell out and treat it like it's another {expletive hax0rd by Cspace}ty minimum wage job.

I just don't know where it all started. Somewhere along the line, someone who loved making music created an autotuned song with an annoying hook, and they made an assload of money. Then I'm assuming that a bunch of nobodys decided to copy that person, until everyone can get famous and rich from one catchy song. It's just frustrating.

Musically speaking, I don't belong in my generation. I don't like how there are so many douchebags that are famous and everybody forgets about musicians who actually have talent and have been making fantastic music for decades. I hate the radio. With a passion. If my iPod hook up isn't working and if I don't have any CDs, I'd rather just drive with the damned thing turned off.


Dunno, either I'm the only one in Reno that I know of with good taste, or I'm the only one with bad taste.

Most pop music is just catchy dance/party music anyways. I don't think anyone considers it high art or anything so don't sweat it.

Except Kanye West. Kanye West is one step from referring to Kanye West in the third person.

That's what I thought too!!!! But not when you're trying to get laid, unfortunately. Because all of the girls like all of that crap on the radio. Oh well, I suppose you have to take one for the team every once in awhile.

I know that Hip Hop isn't considered high art, I just wish that most of it wasn't around. They make more money than people who are good at making music. It's sad.

There's one rapper I listen to actively. I can't listen to much else, but this guy is really good.
