So you want to be an elementalist...

Can't say I blame you. Elementals are among the most powerful minions that one can control, but there's a lot to learn if you want to master the profession. First of all, each elemental has a big weakness of some sort. For example, you would not want to send a Fire Elemental to fight a Water Elemental! In most cases though, an elemental can cause lots of damage to enemies. That's what they're best at!

Also note that an elemental has no will of its own in this realm. They come from other planes of existence, and when they're destroyed here, they return to from where they came. They can't really die, but it takes some time for them to recover from damage, so for their own sake try not to sacrifice them. There would be no need to get attached to one though, for each time you summon an elemental, it's probably going to be a different entity even if it's of the same element. Just consider them minions.

 

Here's a list of elementals that have been discovered so far:

  • Fire Elemental
  • Wind Elemental
  • Frost Elemental
  • Tidal Elemental
  • Storm Elemental
  • Earth Elemental
  • Cosmic Elemental

Along with being able to control these elementals, a skilled elementalist should also be capable of increasing their power and defensive capabilities. You would eventually understand how to fight with these elementals, and not just how to command them.
