Loner
One who follows his or her own path. Loners prefer freedom over favor, and will not align themselves with any one leader.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
- Common Personality Traits
Gloom of the Vagabond: All the world may come to ruin, and you don't think twice about speaking of this with indifference.
Shady Outlook: All look upon you with distrust. You may be their ally, or their enemy. You keep your goals quiet, and your past under a constant metaphorical fog.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
- Common Abilities
Feigning Alliance: You have an easy time fooling enemies into thinking you're their ally.
Heroic Opportunity: When your friends are in danger, you can emerge from the shadow and act as their unexpected protector.

Konadar The Unseen
Today, few follow he who is often called "The Unseen". A mysterious and ancient leader from the time of Dharon, Konadar the Unseen remained out of the troubles of Earthia all the way until the present. He may be unseen, but he still lends power to his most devoted followers. His purpose is shrouded in mystery.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
- Common Personality Traits
Mysterious Aura: You have a purpose, and intend to do good for the world during the Age of Storms. You just don't tell anyone about it... Why should others have to know your burden?
View of Beyond: You're ready for the Fifth Age, but for now you must secure the Fourth.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
- Common Abilities
Illusion of Whirling Sand: You can become a whirlwind for when you wish to be unseen. No one would pay any attention to you.
Destiny's Bane: Nothing is certain. Even the most abysmal of fates can be avoided.

Nemorok
Even after his fall in the lost city of Pompelus, Nemorok has many followers among the Valeron and beyond. Today he continues to lend power to his most useful acolytes.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
- Common Personality Traits
The Revenant's Gaze: Your eyes glow red with hatred for all who stand in your way.
Absolute Hatred: Your power comes from your strong hatred of your enemies. You are relentless and show no mercy.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
- Common Abilities
Wraith-Like Shadow: Even if you're not a wraith, you can summon shadows to hide your face under a hood or helmet.
Dimensional Storm: Almost nothing can match the potential destruction caused by this ability.

The Fallen
Not much is known about the being usually referred to as "The Fallen". He is said to have influenced the darkness of Earthia ever since the First Age, and he is feared by many... In some areas, even more than Nemorok. The Fallen is elusive, however, and few have seen his face or heard his true name. This is even true among his most devoted followers.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
- Common Personality Traits
Boundless Dread: All of those around you feel overwhelmingly hopeless for the future of Earthia. The presence of The Fallen can be felt throgh you wherever you go.
Fear of the Dark: You're able to incite fear in all of your enemies, impairing their judgement. You find this strangely amusing...
-----------------------------------------------------------------
- Common Abilities
Illusion of the Lesser Reknosk: You are able to become The Fallen's own vision of fear.
Dark Rift: Your enemy is caught between realms, effectively dividing his or her vitality between them.

Guane Wulfdancer
Guane is indeed a strange fellow. He is an extraordinarily powerful warden of storms, and can probably save the world himself, but would rather guide others to do it for him. Some question the spelling of his name, but Guane ensures everyone that he is truly not "Gawain Wolfdancer". He likes to play with fire [storms] and make good animals turn bad, but is often caught and punished by Lady Eranara who fixes whatever Guane breaks, and leaves him rooted and harmless in the form of a tree. Follow Guane at your own risk...
Inside Note: Guane doesn't have a place in the story, but is the avatar I frequently use when someone powerful is needed to solve (or create) problems. He is actually based on my druid in EverQuest... Just with tragically amplified powers.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
- Common Personality Traits
Reckless Nature: Face the truth... You're really quite powerful. In the name of Guane, you will use this power to its greatest extent, even to handle the smallest of annoyances.
Guide of the Warden: Even if you're reckless, and even if you're powerful, you still have time to help others with their problems.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
- Common Abilities
Illusion of the Wulf: Guane can turn his followers into wulves if they wish. Exactly how wulves differ from wolves is up to interpretation.
Nature's Reckoning: Fire can solve anything...

Lady Eranara Fleeting-Owl
Lady Eranara is Guane's friend, as well as his adversary. She is in many ways Guane's opposite, seeking to protect nature and provide refuge for her followers. She is equally powerful, but often spends her time reversing any damage that Guane causes. Like Guane, Eranara could probably save the world, but she is always pre-occupied with handling Guane's obsession with destroying things. Her common response is to turn Guane (and potentially his followers) into harmless trees for them to spend some time reconsidering their actions.
Inside Note: Like Guane, Eranara does not have a place in the story. She is one of the avatars that I sometimes use when someone powerful is needed in a situation.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
- Common Personality Traits
Insightful Wisdom: There are ways to solve problems without destroying things, and Eranara's followers have the wisdom to seek better alternatives.
Guide of the Druid: You are always willing to use your power to help others when there's a need.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
- Common Abilities
Illusion of the Owl: When you wish, you can call for Eranara to make you appear as an owl.
Nature's Refuge: The power of nature can protect Eranara's followers from harm.

Aranel the Merciful
Often considered the founder of the Arbiters' Order, Aranel was a paladin during the first war against Nemorok. He was known to be wise, and a friend to all that is good in the world. While he was also a powerful knight of Pompelus with affinity for Arcana, he was known to spare his enemies after turning them back to the light.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
- Common Personality Traits
Greater Purpose: Your goal is not for the demise of your enemies, but for the end of conflict. You are even willing to spare them if their outlook changes due to your influence.
Peaceful Alternatives: You're no pacifist (in fact you are highly trained for battle), but you will not draw your weapon unless you have no other choice.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
- Common Abilities
Benign Aura: In the eyes of those who are consumed by darkness, you can choose to glow brightly with a benign aura, welcoming your enemies back to a better path.
Light of Pompelus: You can create a display of light which cannot be darkened. This ability has not been witnessed since the Second Age, and will incite fear in all who are inherently evil.

The Administrator
The highest executive of the expansive Corrorian Empire. His name is never spoken, for it is the position which has power, not the one who holds it. There are rumors that "The Administrator" is actually a group of leaders, while other rumors exist that "The Administrator" hides behind his title to manipulate enemies without them knowing about it. The Administrator's power is absolute in the corporation-like hierarchy of the Corrorian Empire, and it is unwise to deviate from his plan if you call yourself a Corrorian.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
- Common Personality Traits
Soldier's Fate: All that matters to you is that you get the job done.
Technological Superiority: You look down on everyone who uses "lesser" weaponry and equipment, or those who believe that "Arcana" can somehow stand up against technology. You don't even want to waste your time fighting them.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
- Common Abilities
Advanced Data: Corrorians almost always have an advanced visual display visible in one's helmet, capable of showing vital information, locking onto targets, and showing enemy weaknesses.
Call for Starship: Corrorian ships all have advanced flight computers and artificial intelligence. When help is needed on the ground, a Corrorian can call for aid from his or her ship, even if it does not have a pilot at the time.

Entarcus the Indomitable
The hero of Entarca. Once a gladiator in the kingdom of Cercarii, the so-called Marble Kingdom, and eastern of the Five, he escaped the kindgom during the rebellions of the Second Age. Events would bring him to eventually form a great legion from all of the Luscartian kingdoms, and with it he brought peace to the entire continent. The warring factions were defeated, and from the Five, a great empire would be founded. This Empire would eventually become known as Entarca, named after its champion. Followers of Entarcus have a reputation for being great warriors.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
- Common Personality Traits
Indomitable Personality: While you are a great warrior, you are always seeking a good duel. You do this for show, and to impress your friends as well as your enemies.
Legionaire's Honor: When there's a need, you will fight until the end, even if you're fighting a losing battle.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
- Common Abilities
Gladiator's Taunt: Before a battle with true adversaries, you will talk down to them to invoke anger, and to cause them to lose focus.
Dragon Strength: Entarcus' followers train constantly to build their strength and improve their skills with a variety of weaponry. They are said to even be able to dual-wield weapons which are each intended to require both hands.

Arielina of Euphrascia
The guide who allowed many of the Eumidia to escape from the Valeron when Nemorok conquered their homeland. Arielina was one of the founders of Euphrascia, a Eumidian outpost in western Luscartia intended for refugees. Her specialty was healing, and all of her followers also value the ability to purge disease and suffering from those in need.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
- Common Personality Traits
Purity of Intentions: Regardless of a person's faction, if he or she needs healing, you are always willing to provide it.
Memory of the Eukletia Wood: When you're alone, you often find yourself thinking about the times before Valeron.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
- Common Abilities
Illusion of the Espheir: Those who are Arielina's most devoted followers are granted an ability to enshroud themselves in the illusion of the Espheir, a glowing creature similar to a featureless Eumidia embodied by light, which is often feared by those among the dead.
Light of Euphrascia: You can call for the ancient healing light which was once conjured by Arielina herself.

General Valdarian
Leader of the Underground Syndicate, a large and organized alliance between groups of pirates, smugglers, and desperados, including the Corrorian Rebels. Under Valdarian, the Syndicate has grown very quickly due to widespread dislike of the Corrorian Empire, though at its roots the organization is all about profit. It exists at sea, on land, and in space, and is feared by many since those in the Syndicate often have no other alliances. Valdarian is calculating and methodical in his leadership, but has been highly successful and ultimately plans to stop the Corrorians.
-
---------------------------------------------------------------
- Common Personality Traits
Self-Centered: You don't care about anyone else, and will seek little other than your own profit and well-being.
Distrust: When dealing with other scoundrels, you know very well that they often have opposing goals and could turn on you for their own profit. You're always prepared for this.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
- Common Abilities
Manipulative Advice: You know how to manipulate others to do what you want, even if they don't understand what's going on.
Crippling Blast: Your expertise as a pirate allows you to cripple any ship that you want to plunder or destroy.

Shaijahn of Eridaan
Once a resident of Aenoria, Shaijahn had a great amount of experience with stabilizing portals. When she discovered a portal to Eridaan and arrived at Arunakil, she was fascinated by the ruins and remained there for many years. By coincidence, she happened to stabilize the same portal that the Aphorites would eventually use to escape Regulus. The Aphorites' arrival was highly unexpected by Shaijahn, but after hearing of their situation, she quickly joined their cause. With the Aphorites leaderless at the time due to the Corrorians' attack, after many weeks and a lot of consideration, they offered Shaijahn the position out of gratitude for saving their people. She hopes to lead the Aphorites to victory over the Corrorian Empire.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
- Common Personality Traits
Interest in the Past: You find the ruins of past civilizations to be greatly interesting.
Friend of the Aphorites: The Aphorites welcome all who Shaijahn considers a friend or ally.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
- Common Abilities
Arcane Technology: You value both Arcana as well as technology, and use both to help you reach your goals.
Invoke Riftlands: The so-called "riftlands" are regions where unstable portals influence the spatial dimension. They're usually permanent features of the landscape, but Shaijahn's followers are granted the power to temporarily invoke them anywhere. This can be extremely disorienting for everybody caught during the transition.

Queen of the Hive
The lord of the Karlorons is the queen of their "hive". Karlorons are expected to do what is needed by the hive, and the possibility of death is no factor.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
- Common Personality Traits
Mindless Drone: You don't have a concept of self. You can only understand your role in the hive, and will continue to fulfill that role for as long as you can.
Karloron Brutality: All who threaten the hive or its Queen must be destroyed. You will not stop until the hive's enemies are all dead.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
- Common Abilities
Salvaged Technology: Karlorons cannot build their own technology, but they can sometimes use that of their enemies. The best example would be the jump gates that the Karlorons use to travel through hyperspace.
"Let In The Air A Bit": Karlorons are able to survive easily in the vacuum of space, but their enemies obviously can't. A common tactic used by the Karlorons is to breach the armor of enemies' starships to allow the air to escape. |
