What is Arcana? What is the source of power for those known as the "Avendil"? For years, nothing supernatural could ever be confirmed of this sort, outside stories that were written more than ten centuries ago. Yet, in the past few years, more and more people have been found with these powers. The myth of the Avendil was true all along...

The connections are elusive, but many of the Avendil seem to believe that the power emanates from the universe itself. There is order in what many consider to be chaos, just as the most chaotic of storms is an orderly system when viewed from another angle. Many even consider the source of Arcane power as the "Storm"... A reference also used by Corroria as a metaphor for "Dark Energy": The apparent source of energy that powers their empire.

So what is the Storm? The truth eludes even the most powerful of the Avendil, and we really don't have an answer. What is certain, however, is that whatever the Storm really is... It's getting more powerful every day.
