Very mysterious and powerful are the so-called "Vulantir" stones. They are extremely rare, and it seems that nobody knows from where they come.

Anyone who has affinity with arcana will feel power coming from a Vulantir. By focusing through one, an Avendil can amplify his or her own power. Many Vulantir are also attuned with abilities of their own... Some being archaic in nature.

A Vulantir looks similar to a flawless crystal, and one can identify it by the color. They are known to shift according to the sky's shade, ranging from gray to blue during the day, and often black during the night. Because of this, some refer to a Vulantir as "Skyrite". Xésrend, the mythical "Skyrite Blade" that felled Nemorok, was said to be forged from a large Vulantir. However, the few stones that have been found in recent times have been rather small, which is leading some to question the story of the sword.
