Wooden Ships
Raft - When nothing else is available, why not get onto one of these and see where the currents take you?
Rowboat - A small boat that can traverse calm rivers and lakes.
Canoe - A small boat that can traverse rivers and lakes.
Kayak - A small boat that is specialized for traversing fast-moving rivers.
Sailboat - A small boat that can traverse lakes and the ocean, but never too far from the coast.

Schooner - A small vessel that carries a few guns above deck, and is often used by traders.
Sloop - A small vessel that is designed for speed, and can carry a couple swivel guns.
Ketch - A small vessel similar to a schooner, but with larger sails.
Xebec - A small, fast warship with long sails at the bow and stern.
Bark - A medium-sized trader vessel, with guns above and below the deck.
Corvette - A medium-sized warship that is known for speed, and is commonly used during naval battles. It is also popular among pirates and smugglers.
Brig - A large warship that holds many guns, and is sometimes modified for use by traders.
Frigate - A large vessel that is often used by pirates and smugglers. It can carry a lot of cargo, as well as many cannons above and below the deck. It's also known for its speed.
Galleon - A huge ship that is often used by traders. It can carry tons of cargo, as well as a fair number of cannons below the deck. A galleon is known to be somewhat fast as well, and can sometimes even outrun a frigate.
Ship of the Line - A massive warship that potentially carries a hundred guns. It's relatively slow, but no other wooden ship is nearly as powerful. |
