But the names of the planets are after the Greek or Roman Gods... I always get them mixed up.
Mercury, Venus, Earth (Terra), Mars, Jupiters, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto.
I fail to see how Xena is a God.

Xena was a heroine, but to my knowledge she was not a demi-god, god, goddess, etc. Although some say she liked Hercules (And no that's not just from the show, there are actual articles about it).

Well actually they were Greek, because 'Mars' is actually Aries (SP?) whom is The Roman God of War / Battles / Sparta. -.-;
Although yes the names refer to roman, although the Gods belong to Greece as well, but I may not be explaining correctly....

Geez, I just found out about this and when I come on SeeD I have found Cspizzle has made a topic about it (like all the other ones
)
I have a new name for it. The planet should be called 'Nuu', and the moon should be called 'The Whole World'.
Therefore, The Whole World really would revolve around Nuu!

We're studying Astronomy in Science now... we told our Science teacher about it but at first Mr. Consedine didn't believe it. We put forth facts about it so now he believes us... and he now puts the word Xena after Pluto.

He was listing the details of the planets but when he got to Xena he had to ask me and Callum for the details.

^^ Thanks Ayumi, you rock!! ^^

You were right, because after the Romans took over Greece, they copied many ideas from Greek culture. Ranging from architecture, to mythology to philosphy. But the Romans named their gods after the planets. The greeks were the ones that named their heroes, Aries, Zeus, Odysseus and Hercules.

It is Ares, not Aries, Aries is a sign of the zodiac. And you mean they named the planets after their gods, methinks. Oh and Ares and Zeus were actually gods by the way, the others really were classed as heroes.
If that makes any sense whatsoever.

Yes I know the last few people were classed as heroes, and your right it's spelled Ares not Aries, I was just giving balanced examples of greek gods and heroes.
