Is it just me, or does this topic come up every January when people go back to school from Christmas break and have even more schoolwork than before? I've barely been on here in the last few weeks, and been on RS even less.

Since Esron did RS through the ages, I'll do a very short "SeeD through the Ages."

1. SeeD, the RS clan. This was when EVERYONE was active both on RS and in SeeD.
2. SeeD, the homies. This is our current age. Very few of us (at least as a percentage of our zillion members or so) are active in SeeD, and not all of us still play RS. We're not really a clan anymore (as far as doing in-game stuff together), but more like "a group of people who chat and go insane together, who all happen to play RuneScape." Sorry Cspace, but I blame this on you putting SeeD and CurvedSpace in a blender and saying, "Hmm, I wonder what'll happen if I turn it on?" grnwink.gif
3. SeeD, the... thing. We're on our way here. In the next age, we'll regain status as a "real" clan on RuneScape, and keep everyone's interest by expanding into other games.

I don't believe SeeD is dying. We've made it past too many conflicts to die, and believe it or not, we're actually growing. It just isn't obvious bluetongue.gif

Lol, I kinda scanned through that...but it was still good. I've got three opinions on this...
1.) Runescape wont die out completely as long as updates keep coming
2.) Seed will never die out completely, because if it did alot of us would have nothing to do (including me grnwink.gif )
3.) ARCADE ROCKS! headbang.gif

Perhaps... I don't mean to be harsh or anything, but if that didn't happen one of the two sites would have probably gone down... And without CurvedSpace we wouldn't be on our own server. icon_sweatdrop.gif

It's a long story though indiff.gif

Whether or not it's obvious though, the combination got SeeD a lot more exposure than it would otherwise have.

Hehe, I know, I just meant that with the two together (making SeeD a "real" part of CurvedSpace) it kinda killed our "clanness." Uh... yeah. Don't really know how to explain it.

I wouldnt say SeeD in RS is dying, i WOULD say RS is dying.

The economy failing with the destruction of p hats.. inflammation.. introduction of d legs.. scammers run rampant with Jagex doing hardly anything to stop them it seems..

SeeD however, is NOT dying. I see new members most every day, a few of them are starting to become really active. SeeD has seen some rough times, I've been with SeeD through those rough times. The way its going right now, I cant see SeeD falling until Cspace decides to shut it down.
Overwhelmed as one would be, placed in my position.
Such a heavy burden now to be "The One".
Born to bear and read to all the details of our ending
To write it down for all the world to see.

The simple fact of the matter is that we have gone through a lot. Outsiders who wanted nothing other than to cause us problems, internal situations between members with short fuses and a web of quiet alliances and enemies between them, alterations of our image as a result of coping with these problems, among many other situations. This all happened practically at once, being thrown at us at the beginning of 2004 and lingering until almost the end of the year due to a few individuals' persistence.

But we got through it. Other clans fell for much less, though our true members fought for the clan all the way. "Faithless is he who turns when the path darkens." (or something like that) All who are left are those who wanted a brighter future for SeeD, the rest have removed themselves in some way... Either directly or indirectly... Throughout this ordeal. This truly shows how SeeD is a "member's clan". It was not the strength of any leader that pulled us through it, it was the strength of everyone.

It is over now though. Old situations may come back... But we will better handle them. Through the past year though, we were broken down in a way. Broken down in terms of a clan, many influences reduced us almost to just a community.

But you know what?

We can and will rebuild, the foundation of our clan placed in stone and built more solid than ever before. We went from nothing to where we are now with the support of our members, think of what we can do now to propel us even further into the future. I can see the same magnitude of success still in store for SeeD. We have not yet reached the climax, we are only at the beginning now that we are broadening our horizons beyond those of almost any other clan.

We will rebuild in Runescape and thrive as a clan there once again, beyond any success previously experienced, while at the same time building new clans and guilds on the same solid foundation we build today.

All we need is your support. If we can work together we can build a gaming clan on par with the greatest in any game. Even the greatest had to start from nothing, just look at where we are now and where we can go.

Everyone just needs to focus on what we have today, invision a better tomorrow, and then create the means to get there. We can do it, but many will need to take a part.

Let's build the SeeD everyone always wanted and leave the old ways behind.
